New Here?

Hello! Welcome!

Now, I’m going to guess you’re here for one (or more) of these reasons…

1. You have a chronic illness and:

a) You’re determined not to be defined by it.

b) You wallow in the horribleness of it.

2. You have a friend with a chronic illness and you want to:

a) Buy them a present.

b) Support them.

By some weird twist of fate you’re here for another reason?? How exciting! Care to let me know what that is? (lizzy[at]thepillowfort.co.uk or tweet) I will personally try and help you navigate The Pillow Fort world!

Ack, that’s awkward. We’re all about focusing on the positive, other-stuff in your life. Um… maybe check out the blog? You might realise you’re not quite as doom and gloom as you thought, or you’re ready to change. If so, please refer to a) above!

Oh my, what a lovely friend you are! Can you be my friend too please?

No, but seriously, the top 5 things I’d recommend as presents are:

b) Support them.

Oooo, this is a tougher one. I’d check out The Pillow Fort Magazine, which is full of young people with chronic illnesses talking about their lives. And also this blog post on Spoon Theory. But ya’ want to know my best advice? Talk to them and listen.
